About Community Inclusion

Community Inclusion (CI) services provide the person served with direct support to access activities such as recreation, leisure, community-based opportunities and personal interests. CI support services are funded and referred by Community Living BC (CLBC). Community Options coordinates CI services with the individual to determine how best to be supported. Community Options does not maintain a waitlist or apply fees.

Community Options recruits Community Inclusion contractors on behalf of the person served: creating and monitoring the necessary contracts to ensure the appropriate supports and services are in place when needed. The individual can receive support with connecting to the community, learning life skills, managing their home, maintaining friendships, taking care of their health, and safety. The person served chooses and directs the activities and the CI contractor with the assistance of a Community Options Adult Services Coordinator. The hours, days and frequency of support may vary.
