Julia will share the basics of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): what its goals are, how it works, and some ideas for applying ACT strategies in everyday life for kids, teens, and adults.  ACT is an evidence-based behavioural therapy that is rooted in mindfulness and directed by values (Harris, 2007).

The desired outcome of ACT is increased psychological flexibility: for you and your kids!

Host Margaret Treleaven is the COCF Family Support Services Coordinator. Experienced as a classroom teacher and behaviour interventionist as well as a mom of neurodiverse kids, her mission is to help your family find and use the resources you need to be strong, healthy and supported.
